A bitterly cold and rainy morning greeting us gloomily on the morning of 26th! By the time we sauntered down to have our breakfast, it was already 9:30AM and still raining. After having some hot aloo paranthas with dahi, the typical North Indian way, we headed out to Lansdowne to try our luck hoping that rain would stop. Our first stop was the Garhwal Rifles Museum and then the war memorial right by its side. By this time, the drizzle had stopped. Of course on the way, we made good use of the misty morning road and snapped some snaps!
We then headed to the Alaknanda stores where some nice purchases were made. After this, next stop was “tip in top” view point, also called the Tiffintop point. Then we had a decko at St. Paul’s church and headed back to Oak Grove Inn for a superb lunch. We decided to be a bit adventurous and started towards the Bhairavgarh temple which was at an hour’s climb from a defacto base. The final view from the top made the entire tiresome climb to the top worthwhile.
We started back quite tired but on the way managed to catch sunbeam playing hide n seek with the pine forest.
